3th Annual Graduate Student Conference

The Graduate Student Conference is one of our center's annual events. It aims to generate interdisciplinary conversations on themes of shared interest and to encourage dialogue between scholars from Latin America and the Caribbean and US scholars who plan research in the region

Call for Papers

The Center for Latin American & Caribbean Studies will sponsor MSU's third Annual Graduate Student Conference on Latin America and the Caribbean on February 22, 2019. The conference aims to generate interdisciplinary conversations on themes of shared interest and to encourage dialogue between scholars from Latin America & the Caribbean and scholars who plan to conduct research in the region.

We invite submissions from MSU graduate students engaged in research related to Latin America and the Caribbean in any discipline. Complete the submission form with a 200-word abstract, 3 key-words, your name, department, college, and email address and send it to msuclacs(at)gmail.com by December 14, 2018.

Conference Organizing Committee

CLACS also seeks graduate student volunteers to serve on the Conference Organizing Committee. The committee will review abstracts, group them into panels, and identify faculty discussants. We seek representations from multiple colleges. Those interested may contact Laurie Medina at medina(at)msu.edu.
