CLACS Student Receives FLAS Fellowship

Alexandra Stano is a recipient of the FLAS Fellowship for the 2017-2018 academic year. She is a junior, double majoring in Comparative Cultures and Politics and Spanish and double minoring in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and International Development. She studied abroad and worked in Argentina where she conducted research on the conflict between construction projects and indigenous land rights in Latin America. As a FLAS Fellow, she will continue to study Spanish and development in Latin America, while narrowing her focus on the role women play in the social and economic growth of the region.
